Milano 10th January 2024 by Albert Quagliata
The investigation by the Milan Prosecutor's Office in which the two entrepreneurs are under investigation for aggravated fraud for the Pandoro 'affair' with the brand and which now, as an object for fetishists, has reached dizzying prices: on the web it has almost reached 700 euros.
After yesterday's acquisitions in the offices of the Piedmontese company by the Economic and Financial Police Unit of the Gdf, thanks to the documents collected, in particular those of the Antitrust proceeding with a series of attachments filed today with the deputy prosecutor Eugenio Fusco, it will be possible identify who among the managers of the influencer's and Balocco's companies dealt with the "Pink Christmas" project and the contract signed in December 2021.
They will, in all probability, be the first to be heard as witnesses to reconstruct the story on which, later on, Chiara Ferragni will almost certainly also be questioned, defended by the lawyers Marcello Bana and Giuseppe Iannaccone, and the CEO and president of Balocco, the which the Turin lawyer Alessandra Bono appointed. The managers' depositions will serve to focus on a series of points, such as the distribution chain of the pink dessert sponsored on social media as a solidarity initiative in support of the Regina Margherita hospital in Turin, useful for reconstructing the story. Among the issues to be resolved, in order to verify the existence of the hypothesized scam, is to ascertain whether or not there has been an illicit profit and damage.
Damage that Codacons, in announcing a class action "on behalf of all the parties injured by the alleged offenses for which the judiciary is investigating", quantified at 1.65 million euros, a sum calculated on the over 290 thousand packages sold in 2022 (on a total of 362,577 marketed) and equal to the difference between the price of the 'normal' pandoro (3.68 euros) and the designer one (9.37 euros). The Milanese investigation is currently aimed at shedding light on the Pink Christmas project, but will then also focus on the case of the Easter eggs and probably also that of the Trudy doll and others. With regard to the chocolate eggs, the owner of Dolci Preziosi, Franco Cannillo, is being investigated, who together with the company of which he is the legal representative, specified that "they were not the recipients of any intervention and/or request from the competent authorities".
His registration, from what has been filtered, dates back to days ago, with the opening of the file in reality, for purely technical reasons and as a deed of guarantee, for commercial fraud against the protagonists of the two events concerning Christmas sweets and Easter. According to the code, this crime, set aside after the Gdf report which led to changing the framework and contesting the aggravated fraud, also allowed the companies to be registered, whose position is however frozen pending any further developments. While the Turin hospital that treats seriously ill children received the million that Chiara Ferragni, apologizing for the communication error, promised to pay and Fedez jokes about the siege of journalists and photographers in front of their Milanese building, on investigation, many are expressing their opinion. Even the deputy prime minister and minister of infrastructure Matteo Salvini who stated: "The country does not depend on Chiara Ferragni; politics has more important things to deal with than pandors. I don't like fury regardless of someone in difficulty. The fury and the wickedness of these days leaves me disconcerted."
Dolci Preziosi, 'no action from prosecutors on Easter eggs'
"Franco Cannillo, legal representative of Cerealitalia Id Spa, and Cerealitalia Id Spa specify that they have not been the recipients of any intervention and/or request from the competent authorities" in relation to the legal matter of the Easter eggs sold with Chiara's sponsorship Ferragni.
In a note the company therefore specifies that "at present, therefore, it is not possible to fully articulate any counter-arguments regarding what has recently been asserted by the press".
The Turin children's hospital received 1 million from Ferragni
"The City of Health of Turin confirms that in the week before Christmas it received the donation of 1 million euros from Mrs Chiara Ferragni towards the Regina Margherita children's hospital". This is what is reported in a note. "An act of donation - continues the statement - is always a gesture of great generosity in support of the structures that exist
deal with the health of young patients. In the coming weeks, we will evaluate, with the new commissioner Giovanni Messori Ioli and Franca Fagioli (director of the department of pathology and child care, ed.), which technological investments to dedicate the donation towards, certainly with a logic of further improvement of the diagnosis
